Socially and Environmentally Responsible Production System
Our shrimp farms reflect social and environmental responsibility: located on pristine areas to avoid damage to mangroves and reduce our impact on natural habitats. We promote mangrove planting, which protects against storms and supports wildlife. More than 30 years of operation demonstrate our sustainable commitment to people, the community, and the ecosystem.
Social & Community
We collaborate with the Foundation for the Development of the Southern Zone (FUNDESUR), the social arm of the shrimp farming industry. Through our contributions to FUNDESUR, we help improve the quality of life for thousands of families in southern Honduras. Thanks to our joint work with the shrimp farming sector, residents of various communities benefit from projects related to health, education, access to clean water, and many other initiatives.
Natural Environment
We planted mangroves to conserve the soil on our farms and reduce damage from storms or storm surges. These areas also serve as habitats for various animal species.
Water is our main input for shrimp farming. Maintaining its quality in the estuaries is a priority, using monitoring programs that ensure compliance with the required standards.
Mangrove forests, along with more than eighty species of birds, reptiles and other wildlife, make up the environmental appeal of our production farms, which stand out as examples of sustainable systems.
